Overview of Amenities

The mission of Come Rest Awhile is to offer a safe, supportive environment in a family setting for women in recovery.

Target Population:

CRA is for women, new in recovery, that are experiencing a life transition such as:

  • Recent completion of a treatment program for substance abuse but not yet ready to live independently
  • New to recovery and desiring strong support and involvement in a 12-step program, and/or
  • Experiencing a life crisis that threatens her recovery and in need of a safe, supportive environment.

Amenities:

A monthly fee includes:

  • A shared room, food, laundry, and all utilities in a beautiful furnished home, conveniently located in a safe neighborhood with access to public transportation.
  • Access to information regarding 12-step events, women's retreats and workshops related to recovery.
  • Volunteer transportation to 12-step meetings, as well as business and medical appointments.
  • Information and referral to outside resources as needed, and
  • Live-in management with long term recovery and experience in the field of alcoholism and drug addiction.

Referrals are accepted from treatment centers, counselors, and individuals. Self-referrals are also appropriate.

The average stay at Come Rest Awhile is six months.

Come Rest Awhile is open to any women, age 18 or over, regardless of race, creed, color, religion, ethnic background or nationality.
