Our Mission and Approach
Come Rest Awhile offers a safe supportive environment for women in recovery.
The house is located in a residential neighborhood in Lake Oswego, a community on the west bank of the Willamette River, a few miles south of Portland Oregon.
During a resident’s first month, she is encouraged to attend thirty Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in thirty days, and find a sponsor. After the first month, three AA meetings a week are required. The house hosts an AA meeting, Miracles Happen, each Tuesday evening.
Come Rest Awhile residents benefit from a healthy start in sobriety. They form connections with other sober women, learn to support their own and others’ recovery, share experiences and develop friendships.
The goal of sober living in a safe environment is to learn the skills needed to transition to an independent life in recovery. The requirements for residence and rules of the house facilitate the steps necessary to rebuilding her life and establishing herself in a supportive community.
We accept women age 18 and over, regardless of race, creed, religion, ethnic background or sexual orientation.
